Bluebell Organics was created in 2000 by myself, Katrina Palmer, when I moved to Forcett near Richmond to begin work on a previously derelict walled garden. In 2001 I met my partner Steve Barker and together we have worked hard to build up the company through farmers markets and a home delivery scheme.

Our aim is to provide top quality, fresh, locally grown organic produce. At the garden we grow a wide range of protected crops like salad, tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers and the garden also has a large apple orchard and several other fruit trees. We also work in partnership with S.J.Ward of Northallerton to grow larger quantities of bulkier crops such as potatoes, carrots and onions.

In 2004 we were given the opportunity to take on board the "Growing Green" project at Walworth market garden near Darlington – this pioneering project has been running for 13 years and involves local families in the growing of the vegetables that are delivered to them. This has added another 6 acres of organic land to our business.

All this means that if you choose to have a home delivery from Bluebell Organics or if you make a purchase from us at the farmers markets we attend, you can be assured to know where the produce is coming from. We are happy to welcome visitors by appointment so that you can see for yourself where the produce is grown.

All the land is registered with organic certification schemes which means we can assure you of the genuine nature of our organic status – it is independently verified.
