H.O.P.E. is a charitable trust and is registered as a Scottish Charity. No. SCO 20928
It is an environmentally friendly project providing training and work experience for people with learning disabilities living in Angus. H.O.P.E. was set up on the grounds of Hospitalfield House, Westway, Arbroath with the kind support of the Hospitalfield House Trust.
We aim to improve opportunities for social, educational and recreational activities for the identified group of people living in the local area, and to provide the local community with a reliable source of organically grown vegetables and plants.
Currently about 10 volunteers are assisting H.O.P.E. by supporting the project in a variety of ways. These volunteer helpers are recruited from the local community; they provide an essential role in all garden activities:
supporting adult trainees
helping with gardening work
garden sales and fundraising
vegetable box scheme - administration and deliveries
