The Bailey Inn is a friendly traditional pub, situated in the picturesque village of Yorkley in the Forest of Dean. When current owners Val and Gary took over in 2007, the focus was to supply good home cooked pub food, using organic & local produce. There are no microwaves in the kitchens and food is cooked to order in the traditional way. Emphasis is on using only organic or organically reared meat and vegetables are also organic and sourced as locally as possible, thereby helping to support the local economy.
Dishes are freshly prepared to order and are in line with the usual fayre you would expect in a country pub.
The Bailey Inn is well known for its excellent pizzas, which are made using organic pizza bases (sourced locally), home made organic tomato sauce and a variety of toppings. Organic burgers are also a firm favourite and on weekends, there is a selection of specials including organic curries with lots of vegetarian options on the menu too.
Lunches are served between 12noon and 2pm Tues - Fri and evening meals between 7pm and 9pm Tues – Thurs, and Friday from 5pm.
Meals are served all day Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon – 9pm.
Sunday lunches are 2 or 3 course, using organic meats or free range local chicken and are by bookings only. Other menu choices are available throughout the day.
This is a family run pub and you will always be sure of a warm welcome. Dogs and children are most welcome too.
