Speciality organic growers in Cornwall.
We produce a wide range of herbs, salad leaves and vegetables for local health food stores, farm shops, gastropubs, hotels, restaurants, box schemes and holiday accommodation.
All our produce is grown at Gear Farm, St Martin, on the Lizard Peninsula in West Cornwall without the use of insecticides, fungicides and chemical fertilizer and our entire process of production is accredited by the Biodynamic Agricultural Association of Great Britain.
The great flavour of our produce comes from growing varieties which taste the best rather than perform well in terms of uniformity, yield or shelf life and we grow them in a well maintained healthy soil enriched with lots of natural fertility, liquid seaweed extracts and mineral rich comfrey juice.
We harvest and deliver on the same day so our produce is always really fresh and because we grow and sell direct we are able to offer with pride a friendly, personalised and accurate service to all our customers right throughout the year.
So a very big thank you to all our valued customers from last year, you'll be pleased to know we have been busy over the winter months installing our own water supply and automated irrigation system and are now ready to put up three more tunnels so we can offer more oriental leaves and other extended season produce next autumn.
This year we have expanded our baby salad leaf range to nearly 30 leaf types and are trialling five varieties of early salad potato to see which will produce the best flavour and waxy texture with our soil and there will be asparagus peas, tiger stripe toms, purple french beans, decorative gourds and fresh horseradish for making seriously hot sauce to name just a few new inclusions.....so watch out!
